Happy Chinese New year 2010 ♥ 9:30 PM

My very first Chinese New Year without a single family member with me. Feels very weird but maybe being in Australia does help smooth away that feeling that I am missing out on something because it felt just like any other day. No fireworks, no dong dong chiang, no HONG BAOs, no mandarins. In fact, I am rocking up on my first day of work tomorrow.

Ok, the church aunties and uncles had been really nice and invited us over for CNY eve dinner and dinners over the weekend. Had been have awesome food and I am not complaining since I love food:)

Still, there is this strange feeling that make tears well up in my eyes that I actually miss my family. It’s almost like I broke a tradition that had always been part of my life. Thanks for the emails and smses and cards from all of you. I felt even sadder after receiving them. Ok, maybe it’s just my hormones playing up.

Thank God for brothers and sisters in Christ over here:) Hope you had an awesome Chinese New Year.
