Actually, I shared the party with Vince Tan Sheng Yi who is just 2 days older than me but act 5 years younger than me. I still can't believe I survived knowing you for 20 years! Eeew!

Anyway, a lot of time was spent on planning and preparing for the party. Thank God I enjoyed the process because it was fun fun fun! Well, anything involving shopping is fun:) Oui!

Making the piñata was tedious though. Tash and I finally found the heart-shaped balloons at Spotlight after going through all the shops in Carousel! And mind you, Carousel is HUGE! Thank God for the Singaporean Kiasuism (afraid to lose) spirit in me, I bought 3 of them although I only needed 1. They are expensive though. $0.75 EACH. Went home to blow up the balloon and Tash said 'blow bigger!' and BANG! The balloon burst in my face. Good job, Tash. Anyway, we finally made the piñata in time. The night before the party, we were worried that it wouldn't dry in time and used the heater+hair dryer to dry it. Stuffing the piñata with goodies were fun though:)

Oh, and the food! I woke up at an insane time of 9am on Friday to get the twins to go Carousel AGAIN to get our foodstuff. Thank God for Jerick who came over to be our carrier:) I don't think we could have managed pushing that heavy AND dodgy trolley around the shops while we get other stuff. And I'm super 'suay'(unlucky) can? My stupid contacts broke a week before my birthday. I think I practically scream hysterically at my optician back in Singapore although I know it's not her fault la. Thank God for her fabulous customer service:) Ok, I digress.

Anyway, the kebabs took almost 4 hours to do. And a huge thanks to Alison and Amanda who did the bulk of the kebabs and sacrificed their fingers in the process.

Making sure the birthday boy do his part of work too! Alison gave up and supervise instead.


Saturday- Aunt Alice was so sweet! She made me a strawberry cheesecake in church:):):)


We had dinner at that usual korean BBQ place we go to. Then the big two games started. Look what the loser have to eat! Ben was the loser!


Then it continued to Utopia where we had bubble tea. Jerick lost the 2nd round and had to drink 2 litre of water. 3rd round I played. So stupid, knowing my luck sucks on my birthday. Obviously I lost=.= Luckily i bargained earlier because the deal was 3 large bubble tea. Ended up drinking 1 litre of water and probably spewing half of that into the toilet bowl because I was just too full.

Came home so late. 12am? I don't even know. Then the gang surprised me with a cake! At first ZQ said to call him when I reached home. I expected him to come over but when he arrived, the sound of cars is too loud to be that of one. Ended up half of happy family came over because Yao long and Vivian went Gold coast. This is like the first time I received something from them on my birthday:)

Then Sunday came... PARRRRRTY!

The weather was super cloudy and looks like it's going to rain so the first thing I did was pray for good weather. Thank God it didn't rain:) Haha, weatherman got it wrong again...

Jer: Serene, I think my leg is cramping hey.
Serene: This is the reason that I don't drive manual. And don't look at me, I'm not driving.

But I'm very thankful for you driving:) Thanks bro!


Vince and company reached Floreat at 10am. I said the party start at 10am because I know my dear friends will come at 11am or 12pm. But I forgot my dear brothers and sisters are very punctual people. Sorry, it really is not our fault. The stupid traffic jam!
