I wonder... ♥ 4:08 PM

This had been bugging me for some time already. I wonder whether all this hype will happen if i'm not leaving for Australia on the 16th. You see, its always when somebody leave or is going to die that we bother to interact with the person. They want to meet out for dinner, approach you after church services to chat, initiate conversations on or off line etc. I'm not saying that this is not good. Even i'm guilty of that all the meeting ups and chatting when somebody is about to leave town.

Look, I'm aint complaining about all the attention i'm receiving these few weeks ok but all these set me thinking. Why do we wait until somebody is going away or even worse, gone? We always go on busy with our own pathetic life until news that A is going away comes around and suddenly hoards of people start to approach poor A so that we can comfort our souls that at least i had done some catching up and thus not feeling so guilty. So what if A never left the country? We still continue living our own selfish lives and give the lame excuse that 'A will always be around and when i'm free, i'll ask him/her out for coffee' Problem is, we are never free. The only time we ever chat with A is probably something either good(eg:wedding) or bad(eg:ended up in hospital) happened.

The same goes to God. Its always 'when i'm free i'll talk to Him' or 'when i can make it, i'll do God's work' Why can't it be, 'i better talk to Him before i'm gone' or ' i better do it before i can't' ? I suppose as humans, we always take things for granted. When something serious happened, then we come looking for God. So why are we still waiting for that something to happen?

Go say 'Hi' to somebody you haven't chatted with for a long time and have a chat with God before its too late!
