I'm alive*collapse to ground* Ok, its not as bad as i thought to relief teach a bunch of brats from primary one and four but they sure drain lots of energy from me. Although both are challenging, they are challenging in a different ways. Thank God its the weekend!
The primary ones love to tell on their peers. 'Miss Chan, that boy beat me' , 'Miss Chan, that girl step on my friend's worksheet' , ' Miss Chan, like that correct?' Whoa, they are really trying to test my patience. Imagine 20 plus of them coming to you some times three at a time, at times one after another. The thing is they are some times quite cute but nonsensical that you can't help but smile.
The primary fours are different. They seem want to compete with my voice. Of course as a teacher i win hands down with extra tools such as the big yellow wooden ruler. Yeah, the one our teacher used when we were young. Just bang it on the table and you get instant silence. Ahh... but after a moment they are back at it again. Shouting, chatting among themselves. Thank God for a teacher who happened to pass by. She just scream at them and you can see the fear in their face. Now, you can call that the pro. I'm not quite there yet though.. unfortunately:( 40 kids again one me? You got to be kidding!
That said, i have more respect for teachers now than i used to. And i can understand now why all the teachers i know are more or less frowning and not as smiley. Argh, i will never ever be a teacher or if i ever be, i'm going to be a lecturer in some university, that's if i make the grade. Anyway, i'm richer today then before so i'm a happy girl:) Cheers to all the teachers out there!
