Intermediate Youth Camp 2006 ♥ 2:10 PM
I realised with horror that the intermediate youth camp starts tomorrow. You can't blame me for thinking like that. This year's camp is so unorganised. Well, what did you expect? Sexism still exist although we are in denial. Just look, for the consecutive 3 years we are holding the camp, all the chair person is guys. Ok, i don't really care if the guys can do a good job but the thing is no, they didn't. Thank God, somehow, the camp got on quite smoothly.
Anyway, as i was saying, this year's camp is so haphazard that i may as well suggest that to hell with the camp if the chairman can't be bothered to organise the camp. Perhaps, its not the chairman's fault but the people who choose the chairman. Whatever. Somehow, the chairman decided to throw the job to somebody else at the eleventh hour. Great. Fabulous. And who got the job. Fresa. Finally, a sister but after the guy decided that if he don't want to be blamed for the unorganised camp that he passed the baton. Or for whatever reasons. Well, i believe Fresa will do a good job because as females, we tend to be RESPONSIBLE for our job. Man, i'm gonna be the bad guy again who is going to say 'hey, how come girls never get to be the chairperson' the last time i did that i nearly got excommunicated. Nah, i'm exaggerating but that's how it feels. We, girls don't feel that we are needed. The bible says that both sex are equal. If you don't think so, i suggest you go to Arabia or somewhere there.
Yeah, and it happens that the ex organiser haven't really organised the games. There's where i come in. Initially, i'm not supposed to go for this camp because i'm too old for it. But right now, they need all the help they have. So, i have exactly 2 days to plan for a 2 hours slot. Wonderful eh.
In conclusion, REU teachers please choose somebody capable and responsible can? Give girls a chance. And whoever the in charge next year, please do a bloody good job. I'm may not be here next year to attend the camp but i do hope this mistake won't happen again. I hate last minute stuff when there are like more 10 people involved. If its only yourself, you are accountable for yourself but not so for camps or seminars. So please think!
