What's with hats? ♥ 11:17 PM
I was so revolted by the sight of a guy walking into the church hall with a big luggage bag and wearing a hat. You know, the kind GIRLS normally wear to play tennis. Its called the visor to be more accurate. Actually, i'm not revolted by him walking into the hall lest you think i'm judgemental. I'm disgusted that HE have the cheek to throw his luggage on the floor with a loud bang and then nonchalantly get a seat at the back. You must be thinking that or protesting that " Ah Serene but the bag is heavy" or " Serene, why must you act like you are holier than thou"
In fact, i'm not. Imagine a speaker is half way through his speech and you just barge in and make your presence felt by other. If you think that is fine, then i must say that you have no respect for others and yourself! Any civilised people would try to make at little disturbance to others as much as possible.
Okie, i was hoping that he would redeem himself by taking off his visor since he is already indoors and he's hands are free. But no! He sat there in that sloppy position and promptly went to sleep or maybe his eyes were too small and i mistaken that. You see, i seldom wear hats or visor in that case because i KNOW my eyes are small and i don't deny it. By wearing a hat, you are actually making your eyes looked smaller. That's why hats are meant to be worn on a sunny day so that your eyes actually looked bigger because everybody else are squinting! Oh, perhaps you didn't want to take off your visor because i forgot that you paid Valcom for the hat so that you can advertise for them. Pardon me.
Guys may want to argue that you are having a bad hair day so you hide it in your hat. I'm fine with that but look at this this way. Imagine you are going to meet the president in his office. Don't tell me you are going to continue to wear that stupid hat. I don't care whether is a top hat, visor or party hat. You take off that hat because you would be forced to by the president's minders. There aint any minders in church and in case you didn't know, God is the president of this universe. In fact, you are supposed to wear a suit but in this weather, i believe God will understand if you just dress appropriately, meaning shirt and pants. For girls, nothing revealing is good enough.
I just hope that not many guys think that visors are cool cause we girls think you looked like faggots really.
Note: The writer is not against the wearing of hats and didn't mean to insult hat fans. She is simply trying to educate uncivilised people on the etiquette of hat wearing.
