Uproar about the cartoon ♥ 8:19 PM
I can't believe that there's still an uproar about the cartoon of the prophet Mohammad in the Dutch newspaper. It's getting overbroad really. Maybe, Muslims are more fervent but i wonder whether they had thought about the repercussions of rioting or not. They are actually giving themselves a bad image. I'm talking about those who are rioting and boycotting.I'm fine with them having peaceful protests as long as they destroy anything which would mean that taxpayers' money would be wasted fixing damages that are avoidable.
Anyway, i believed in press freedom but i supposed they should have known or at least expect this kind of reaction when they published something about religion. Just look at the many examples like when the movie, Passion of Christ came out. There was some protest from the Jews or something. I guess people don't learn.
I supposed that i'm around the same. Like when i blog about some things, i expected a reaction especially when i criticise about something. Not that its very controversial but just that some people don't like it. Some may think i insulted people but most of you don't even know this person and even when you asked, i didn't even bother to answer you. Its not like i flamed somebody. Yeah, so what if i say your dressing sucks? Its MY opinion so? I'm sick of explaining myself but i suppose i'm also at fault for putting up the tagboard. Well, its free press on my blog so unless its vulgarites, i let you be. But for the last time, let me remind you that what i wrote is what i had written. Yeah, if you are really unhappy, then don't read because i'm not responsible for your unhappiness, you caused it yourself. Or alternatively, write your own blog.
