Emmalyn and I ♥ 11:23 AM
After church service today which ends at 12pm, we( which consist of Uncle Derek, Jie Jie Mag, Emmalyn, Joel and Me) had a huge debate on where to go for lunch. Since Jie Jie needs to get her maternity pants at centre point, its was best that we eat somewhere there. As usual where debates end up to nowhere and is not effective, i decided that i can't take it anymore or i will faint right at church, i suggested Adam Food Centre but i got negative reactions. I gave so many suggestions but got rejected. Even Uncle Derek also get frustrated and start acting like my dad. I guess all dads are like that(he qualify anyway, he's a father-to-be)
Anyway, we ended up at Zion food centre where i almost decided to eat the "Hallelujah" Chai Kway Tiao ... Think people are trying to be funny. For example, if i tell my mom that i went ZION food centre to eat "Hallelujah" chai kway tiao, she might think i'm being naughty or is trying to be funny and i probably get smack on my butt, that's if i was younger. Can't imagine how the dialogue will be like. Maybe like this:
Mum: Where did you go for lunch with Bro Derek and Sis Mag?
A 10 years old Serene: Oh, i went to Zion Food Centre to eat the "Hallelujah" Chai Kway Tiao. Very nice!
Mum: Serene! Don't be funny with me! (looks fierce)
Me: But.. but really what!
Mum: You want me to smack you? Where did you learn this kind of things?
Well, my mum is more reasonable than that but its a thought.
After lunch, we went to Centre point where i think i haven't been to for a long time since i ceased going shopping with my mom often. Finally got to the maternity wear shop and Jie Jie Mag start trying on pants. Uncle Derek start to be bored but he pretended not to because we girls are that, that is Emmalyn and Me. Joel was more interested in books so he was gone with the wind.
Uncle Derek start to ask use whether this dress nice or not and stuff like that. After a while, we also got bored since the shoop was pretty small and our attention span is a bit short when it comes to things that doesn't affect our life until probably after we get married which is a few hundred light years away. Uncle Derek suggested we go Robinson and i nearly passed out. I retorted by saying Robinson leh,your era one! But somehow, we went in to Robinsons and something amazing happened! Emmalyn bought something! Will talk about her later.
Hello! Can't blame us youngsters right? We are more interested in Mango, Metro and etc. Both of us were looking for bags... I know i said bags but shoes and clothes are mutually exclusive too so well, i got more than a bag in the end*blush*
Back to Emmalyn. She saw these undies going 5 for $1 when initially it was 5 for $10. I thought it was a pretty good buy but when we took a look, there was only size 10/12 or 14/16 both of which i am not able to fit. Emmalyn claims that she can wear the 10/12 ones so she wants to buy. Since there was only a few size 10/12 ones left, i was recruited as her undies finder. When i finally found one, she says she wants the purple/white with hearts/blue with hearts/white with pink lace... Shall not embarass her further. I hunted for those panties until i was inspired to speak a cheng yu. Its a miracle that i actually say a cheng yu ok! I told Emmalyn that looking for her panties was really like hai di lao zhen(looking for a needle in the sea) which was pretty suitable at that time. I gave up after a while and sat down. Its not funny spending 20 minutes hunting for panties ok! Hope those undies fit you, Emmalyn!
While purchasing her panties, the cashier teller hang. Just our luck. Luckily, Emmalyn is patient enough to get those undies or i will kill her! I wondered around the bag section until Emmalyn came then we decided to go to The Heeren. Problem is we don't know how to get out. We saw an entrance but THAT EMMALYN SAYS THAT ITS THE WRONG SIDE WHEN ITS THE RIGHT ONE! That blur girl got directional problem like me.
Along the way to Hereen, we stopped at some shops like OG and er, forgot those shops names. Then we suddenly REMEMBER THAT JOEL IS STILL AT GREAT WORLD CITY! But i figured out that my good friend would be happier with books than walking with us.
When we reached Hereen, Emmy claims that she getting old since she getting backache. Haha! Think she better come out with me more often for training. We got a good workout today anyway.
