Monster Aunties ♥ 4:13 PM

Was supposed to accompany my Grandma during her stay at my home but my younger brother, Alvin wanted to buy new shirts and he got $100 from my mum! His arguement was that i own more clothes than him.. What kind of crap is that?! Not fair! He got as much clothes as i have.. If you don't believe, take a look!

Mine

Alvin

His wardrobe look lesser because many of his t-shirts are in the washing machine or folded up so no count.

Anyway,he ended up in expo(buy his stupid mouse that cost $99) and pang sei(abandon) me. Still, I'm determined to go shopping so asked Fresa to go towning with me since she's free until 7pm because she needs to go back to church to help out in the Junior Youths Camp ice-breaker games. Somehow, Jean our little girl joined us for our shopping trip. Haha.. she's not really a little girl since she refused to wear skirts so during our trip, we kinda of forced her to get a pretty blouse and skirt.. She looked so sweet! Too bad i didn't bring my camera around. Well, i promise that i will take her photo the next time she wear her outfit*cheeky smile*

We went to Takashimaya, Wisma, The Heeren and Far East plaza respectively. Walked like crazy but we got a good workout.

Although we are supposed to go to jean's home at 7pm, we are still madly shopping until 6.45pm. Ya la, Jean, All your fault. Have to hunt for a blouse and skirt that would suit you. In the end, we have to take a cab because the bus hasn't turned up. But! All of us ran out of cash and we were hoping that the cabs would accept my Atm card.. haiz, unfortunately, they only accept credit cards which yours truly doesn't have because she is still a student.. yep, a poor student.

Somehow, Jean managed to dig out $10.. which is more than enough to reach her home at Bukit Timah(its only a 20 mins ride but Jean claims that it would take 30 mins). Obviously we reached her home late, at 7.30pm and Aunt Shireen wasn't really happy about it but i can't do much about it. At least her daughter reached home safely.

I ended up accompanying Fresa back to church to help her help her brother with the ice-breaker games after being reassured by her that i would be welcomed.. Glad the kids enjoyed the games. At least, some people appreciate my help.

Oh.. back to my important mission, which is to warn all you people whether male or female, human or aliens about monster aunties or MA for short.. They are so frightening that even my dog is scared of them. Give you a few examples:

Example 1:
MA to my mum:(Look at me) Ah, so big already ah? But so cute!(pinch my cheek) Your girl very big liao ah.

Example 2:
MA to Me: You see this dress suit you very much! Go and try!
Serene: But.. But i don't want!
MA: You go try.(forced me into the dressing room)

(Coming out of the room)
MA: You see so nice! Ah.. Wear this shoes, this one only let you see you so pretty.
Fresa:(roll eyes) She look so fat! See her tummy!
Serene:(Glare at Fresa, then take a good look at the mirror)
Serene(In her mind): Wah, fresa really correct. This stupid dress just make my tummy look bigger and this aunty still say nice. She blind or what!
Serene to MA: Really look fat leh.
MA: Okey, never mind. You try others la. This one very nice right? Ah.. take go and try then you see.. very nice
Serene: Then i also want to try that dress.(Go back into dressing room)

Only the dress that i chose looked nice on me. Those that she chose is both unflattering and expensive! Ha.. Saw through her trick. Unfortunately, i have no occasion to wear the dress i like to. Besides, its not worth the price($109.90 is way too expensive for a poor student like me) since it looks that it would disintegrate after the 2nd wash.Sigh... Wish i'm richer then i can even buy the whole shop.Any sponsors? The dress is in The Heeren 4th floor. The shop has the vintage look. I can't name the shop in case i get sued.. Haha

By the way, ladies, if you meet this kind of MA and there's nothing in the shop that you want, there are 2 options for you. Either, you make make her happy by trying or just say her clothes is too expensive. That will do the trick. For guys going with your girlfriends, get out when you can! Say something like " I need the toilet" or if she refused to budge "Erm,_______(insert girlfriend's name) let's go.. I got a surprise for you! But you better think of a good surprise. Suggestion: A good dinner at a restaurant or something.. It would definitely cost lesser than that dress..

See, read my blog and you get benefits like warnings and tips on how to get out of the situation.
